Dr. Jack Newman to offer professional and public lectures on breastfeeding

Valley
Hospital
are pleased to welcome world-renowned Canadian paediatrician Dr Jack Newman.
Dr. Newman will be giving a workshop to physicians
and health care professionals involved in the care of women and children on
Friday November 21.
The workshop, “Controversies
in Breastfeeding”, will take place in the administration area of the
Upper River Valley
Hospital from
2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Dr. Newman will speak about the importance of
breastfeeding for children and society.
He will give advice on effective promotion of breastfeeding in our
practices.
We are also fortunate that Dr Newman will be
offering his only public lecture, entitled “Bottle-feeding
Mentality and Breastfeeding Myths” at the Woodstock High School
on Friday, November 21 from 7:30 to 9:30
p.m.
