The Village of Harvey is located in an area of prime hunting and fishing. It is
located 47 kilometres southwest of Fredericton, the capital city of New
Brunswick, and 40 kilometres from the US border and the State of Maine. A
community known for its spirit and friendly people, Harvey offers its 383
residents a rich quality of rural life just minutes from all the amenities of
Fredericton. There you'll find one of the finest art galleries east of Montreal,
live theatre, fine dining, excellent shopping, and the not-to-be missed Boyce
Market, the ever popular and well attended Saturday gathering for residents from
miles around.
Over 80% of the population of the area has some type of post secondary
education, and 15% of people speak both English and French, the province's
official languages.
Recreation
The Harvey Memorial Community Centre offers a variety of organized sports and a
gymnasium. Curling, ice-skating, cross-country and downhill skiing are just a
few of the winter sports available in the area. Four major lakes offer
opportunities for boating, swimming, water skiing and fishing during the summer
months. There are four golf courses in close proximity to the village.
