Located on the scenic Appalachian Range Route only a short drive from Grand Falls, Plaster Rock is a community whose economy has always centred on forestry. A wide range of services, shops and restaurants are available to meet all residents' needs.
Recreation
Plaster Rock offers its 1,300 residents three baseball fields with organized leagues, and a 9-hole golf course. There is also swimming, badminton, basketball, canoeing, hiking, soccer, volleyball, and walking. A local park provides nature lovers with camping, an outdoor swimming pool, and tennis courts as well as a nature trail around the lake.
The Tobique Valley Centennial Arena becomes the centre of activity in the winter. There is a winter carnival, hockey programs for everyone, skating and curling. For the outdoor enthusiast, Plaster Rock offers snowshoeing and snowmobiling on the NB Trail system and downhill skiing only an hour away at Mt. Farlane.
