About River Valley Health
Geographically Diverse
Situated
west-centrally in New Brunswick and spanning 23,251
square kilometres, River Valley Health is the
largest geographic region in the province. Our integrated
network of hospitals, health centres, and specialty
care programs provides a broad range of health care
services to 166,000 residents or 21.7% of the province's

along the majestic St. John River Valley. All sites
are within driving distance of the regional hospital,
located in Fredericton, the province's historic capital.
A population
profile of residents served within River
Valley Health indicates higher than average income
and education levels, as well as a diverse population
distribution that is sixty percent (60%) rural and
forty percent (40%) urban.
