Director of Addictions/ Mental Health
Moncton Zone
Horizon Health Network – Moncton Zone has an immediate opportunity for a permanent full-time Director of Addictions/Mental Health with the Mental Health and Addictions program in Moncton.
The Director of Addictions/ Mental Health provides leadership and overall management of Zone 1 (Moncton and surrounding areas) Addictions programs, Community Mental Health services, in-patient psychiatry services, Provincial Child and Adolescent psychiatric unit. Knowledge of budget management, policies, procedures and related legislation are essential. Responsibilities include:
•Leadership of the team of managers to ensure effective cross program collaboration
•Collaborating with non-profit sector groups and other health network programs
•Working closely with physicians working within the respective programs
•Liaising with Department of Health staff and other related departments
•Meeting with members of the public who have concerns about their interaction with the Addictions and Mental Health system
•Maintaining a close working relationship with other Zone directors
Qualifications:
•Post-graduate degree in the health sciences and working knowledge of addictions and mental health programs
•Five years progressive experience in a management role with the ability to multitask
•Written and spoken competence in English is required
