Volunteer Services

Volunteers are essential members of the health care team in the region. They assist patients, their families and staff with the tasks that make the hospital experience a little easier. Volunteers usually work two to four hours a week in one of many volunteer programs. Volunteer programs vary from one facility to another. There are several ways for volunteers to become involved in their community health care facility.

The Department of Volunteer Services welcomes anyone interested in becoming a hospital volunteer. Volunteers are interviewed and placed in programs of their choice. Training workshops are held for volunteers regularly throughout the year.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, you may reach the Regional Department of Volunteer Services by calling (506) 452-5322 or e-mail Cathy.Morris@rvh.nb.ca
