Early Language Services Program

Parle-Moi/Talk with Me
Early Language Services Program

What are Early Language Services (ELS)?
The ELS Team offers information and help to anyone in Region 3 about early language/communication development.  Their services are for anyone who has, or knows, a child five years of age or younger.

Who are we?
Our team is made up of Speech-Language Pathologists and support personnel.  They are skilled in the development of:

  • preschool language skills
  • social skills
  • pre-literacy skills

We know that language is important to learning.  As a parent, grandparent, daycare worker or a member of the community, you are part of our team too!

Our programs and services are free of charge.  They are available to the general public through Extra-Mural offices in:

  • Waterville
  • Fredericton
  • Oromocto

We offer:

  • Workshops, training and education;
  • Demonstrations of techniques that will help a child’s language grow;
  • Information about language and learning;
  • Referrals to speech and language services if we find that assessment and treatment are required;
  • Sessions at convenient times (e.g., days/evenings) and locations in your community.
