Mobile Crisis After Hours Service

The Mobile Crisis Service is a voluntary program which provides crisis management and mental health intervention to clients and families after hours, evenings and weekends.

Intervention is provided in the community in the least restrictive manner with the aim of stabilizing individuals in the community rather than in the hospital setting.

The goals/objectives of the program are to:

  • Reduce acute symptoms
  • Reduce risk to self and/or others
  • Reduction of psychosocial stressors
  • Provide linkage to community partners
  • Provide post crisis follow up

Hours of operation:

  • 7days/week
  • 4PM12AM weekdays
  • 3PM11PM weekends

Outside these hours Chimo Help Line will provide phone support and triage.

Staff:

  • There are 2 parallel sites in Fredericton and Woodstock, located at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, and the Upper River Valley Hospital
  • The team is comprised of social workers who are trained in crisis response and mental health assessment and intervention
